When you are looking for someone to date, you want to be realistic with the expectations that you set. You do not want to set your sights on the hottest person that has ever walked the planet. They probably would end up being the wrong match for you. You should not set what your future date has and does not have in stone. What you think that you want today in a person may change when you meet someone that is perfect in every other way. This does not mean that you should settle for less then what you deserve. To lessen the pain of canceling, you should offer to reschedule at your date’s earliest liking. Always be upfront with your dates that your child comes first no matter what. This will help them to understand why you may need to cancel at the last minute.
