I found one of the best types of people for a single parent to date is another single parent. I am currently dating a single dad. There are pros and cons to this arrangement. You will need to decide for yourself if dating a fellow single parent is right for you. Pros of Dating a Fellow Single Parent

• They understand that the children come first.
• You can have dates that include the children. This will alleviate needing to find a babysitter for dates.
• Your date will listen to the endless stories about your children.

 Cons of Dating a Fellow Single Parent

• You will always have to juggle the question of where the two of you stand in your relationship. With children on both sides, you will both be anxious not to make a mistake by dating the wrong person.
• If your date is a weekend single parent, you will not be able to have adult dates on the weekends.
• You will have to always deal with their ex being in the picture.
