Yea Phillies

Published by geargirl113 under My Story Edit This

I had to comment on the phenomenal win of the Philadlephia Phillies last night. Twenty eight years in the making. I am a huge baseball fan and I was in tears watching the final out. I ended up watching the end of game five at home. I had to take my daughter early this morning to the hospital to see the orthopedic specialist. I still enjoy every minute of the game. I held my breath every time we threw a pitch until the final out. This is a much deserved win for the Philadlephia Phillies.

Do not feel too bad for me having to stay home to watch the game. I plan to head to the championship parade tomorrow. So all I can say is… GO PHILLIES!

Bonding Over the World Series

Published by geargirl113 under My Story Edit This

I live in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia. I am a huge baseball fan. Needless to say that I am loving every minute that the Phillies are in the World Series. Now, as you know, my boyfriend is still in Atlanta. He too is a huge Phillies fan. We have spent the payoffs with having min long distance dates. We basically talk or text through out the game. It is kind of like we are sitting next to each other watching the game together. I am enjoying this mini dates. I want the Phillies to win tonight so that they become the world champions. However, I do not want to lose this way of connecting with my boyfriend.

Other ways to having mini long distance dates are what I have been doing a lot of thinking about. There are many great TV shows and movies that are on that we could do this with. I do not watch any specific TV shows on a regular basis. I need to start watching a couple weekly TV shows that my boyfriend and I can do these mini dates with. I am not sure which ones to do this with.

Things About My Dating Life

Published by geargirl113 under My Story Edit This

I figured it was about time to give you some insight into my dating experience. It seems at times that I have been through it all when it comes to dating. Well, I am sure I have not experienced everything as of yet.

I was engaged for two years when I was younger. I was about 22 when I got engaged. Needless to say it fell apart. In hindsight, it was for the best when it comes to my life. That relationship was very bad for me.

I did the online dating thing on and off for about 6 to 7 years. I really enjoyed my experiences with online dating. The best part was meeting all sorts of new people.

I had my daughter and decided to stop dating for a while. By the time that I found out I was pregnant, I was no longer dating my daughter’s father.

I was not looking to date when I found my boyfriend. My daughter was 6 months old and I was out at a bar celebrating a friend’s birthday.

Why Do We Want to Date

Published by geargirl113 under Basics Edit This

There as many answers to this question as there are people in the world. Many people do not even know why they want to date. There are even people who do not feel that they need to date. Gasp! This may surprise and even frighten some of you. Now it is time to look into yourself and try to find out why you want to date. Companionship This may be one of the most common reasons that people want to date. They like to have the company of others. There is nothing wring with this reason. Make sure that you are not trying to replace having friends with dating. Fill a Void  Many people look to dating to fill what they think is a void in their life. Dating will not make you happy. You need to be happy with yourself before you will be able to date. Have Fun This is another reason that many people want to date. They just want to have fun. This is ok and as long as you know that this is what you are in it for. Dating for fun can be a great thing to keep you busy and active.

Casual Dating

Published by geargirl113 under Basics Edit This

Every date that you go on does not have to lead to a happily ever after. Many people who are dating and have children think that to date someone there needs to be a quick trip down the aisle. This is not the case. You can casually date as a single parent. It is actually very healthy for you to do so. This will make you less desperate when you are dating. That way you do not settle to spend the rest of your life with the first person that will commit to a wedding. Here are some rules to remember when you are casually dating as a single parent.

Rule One

Be upfront and honest to every person that you are dating. Do not lead a person on to believe that they are the only person that you are dating. You would expect them to be that honest with you.

Rule Two

Only introduce a new someone in your life to your children when the relationship has moved past being a casual relationship. You do not want to expose your children to a revolving door of all the people that you are dating.
