Dating With Kids

In everyone’s dating life there are many roads that were not taken. Some of these roads include getting together with some who crossed your dating path. Other times it is about staying in a relationship and seeing where it may lead. Often times the road not taken happens because of fears. Still other times, the road not taken in a relationship happens because you do not have the full knowledge of the situation that is happening. Well at least, you do not have it until after the fact.

There are good reasons that you can look at the road not taken in relationships. It helps you to see the things that are happening to you now. Knowing your own history when it comes to dating can help you not to make the same mistakes. This makes me think of the many mistakes that I have made in my dating life.

Dwelling on the road not taken can be bad if you let it depress you. I once had a good friend tell me how much he cared and loved me, but could never find a good time to make a move. I was engaged to someone else when we became friends. He later got married while I was still engaged. My engagement broke off but then he was married and still is to this day.

This has taught me to go after what I want when it comes to relationships. I have learned to not let fear hold me back because I could miss out on something really special.
