Dating Goals
Most life coaches will tell you to get what you want from life that you need to know what your goals are. This is also true of relationship coaches. I wonder how much truth there is to the goal making theory when it comes to dating. Now, I am sure that if you made it your goal to meet three new people a week that this in turn would help your dating. But, how realistic is it to make your goal that you want to be in a long term committed relationship? Will making this your goal cause it to happen? Will you just end up settling for someone to make this dating goal a reality?
I am at a cross roads in my dating life. I do not know if I should sit down and write out goals like I do for other areas of my life. I know that I would like to be in a committed long term relationship. I know that I would eventually like to be married. However, I do not know if I want these thoughts to be the driving force behind everything that I do. What do you think about making dating goals?
